The Mermaid Tavern

Its very welcoming and informal atmosphere make it a hugely popular venue for an evening out with family or friends especially during the summer season.

There is the option to buy sandwiches and other refreshments from the bar or you can indulge in a hearty pub meal. The small grocery shop stocks essential provisions, particularly handy if camping on the Seagull Campsite.

The Mermaid also has a 50 seater restaurant and a top-deck area for functions.

The island is open from April to October and the Mermaid is open daily during this period.

From November to March there are restricted opening times so it is best to contact the Mermaid ahead of your journey across.
