L'Escalier Restaurant is found in St Peter Port in the old quarters. It is a very welcoming place to eat run by Armelle and Dean who are always very pleased to see you and make you feel especially welcome.
This traditional restaurant at the top of the hill is one of a few family run restaurants that are left on the island and it most definitely has a great atmosphere, very homely and is totally unpretentious.
Dining here is a real treat and it is many locals favourite place to eat.
A drink or two in either of the two Irish pubs opposite the restaurant, The Cock and Bull and The Cornerstone is the perfect place for an apperitif before crossing the narrow road to L'Escalier.
The menu offers very affordable classic and modern Anglo-French dishes using the best of local produce.
Another firm favourite and most definitely worth a visit.
